Immediate implant treatment is one of the fastest and most reliable ways to replace missing or irreparably damaged teeth. Modern dentistry makes it possible to place implants quickly and, when the right conditions are met, place teeth immediately.
When Can Immediate Implants Be Applied?
- In a fully edentulous upper jaw, 4-6 implants can be immediately restored with fixed teeth depending on bone condition
- In total lower jaw tooth loss, 3-4 or ideally 6 implants can be used for immediate fixed teeth
- For a single missing tooth in the back area, fixed teeth can be placed immediately after implant
Disadvantages
- Not suitable for people without adequate bone level and gum thickness
- Healthy osseointegration of the implant may be at risk in some cases
