After orthodontic treatment, teeth always want to return to their previous position. The main reason for this is that bone production that will keep the teeth in their new position takes time. For reinforcement purposes after braces treatment; Personal Protective Plate (Night Plate) and Protective Wire (Retainer) application are used on the inside.

How Long Should I Use Protective Plates?
Unless a different recommendation is made, the first 6y day and night (at least 20 hours), and for the next 6 months we should use it only at night. After 1 year of treatment, we will start using it only a few nights a week. At the end of 2 years, we are ready to say goodbye to our protective plates completely.
Protective Plates Are Lost, What Should I Do?
Especially within the 1-year period after the treatment, a new one must be made without wasting time. If you are unable to reach our clinic, you can contact any oral health clinic as soon as possible.
Protective Plates Do Not Fit/Do Not Fit What Should I Do?
Incompatibility situations generally occur as a result of the plate being exposed to trauma or not being used for a long time. In this case, the plates often need to be renewed.
